it's just me, my mom, my sis and my aunt tonight. we were supposed to eat out tonight but because my sister would still be in acts for her college review until 8pm, my mom just thought to buy food to go. at first, she was about to buy pho hoa but i pleaded for a very light dinner due to an upset stomach from eating rice earlier for lunch. in the end, she decided to buy korean food for my aunt, my sister and herself from kaya in sm. i told her i was going to order good burger instead since i didn't want to eat kaya. in the back of my mind though, i wasn't really planning on eating a proper dinner for the second night in a row since i just had red mango and i ate rice earlier. when we got home though, i was forced to make an order for good burger. so i decided, better just make do and make the patty vegetarian, the bun, wheat bread and only opt for the meduim sized burger. unfortunately, the only burger that i do eat in good burger has been faced out so i had no choice but to have a DIY dinner.

at first i though, grilled cheese sandwiches? but then, i saw this jar of black currant preserves in the fridge adn decided to try it. in the last minute, i also got the cheese for another slice of toast. while the first toast was in the toaster, i was slicing cheese and placing it on the second one. i switched the slices and slathered the toasted one with the preserves. since i had three quarters of a slice of cheese left over i decided to munch on it before putting it on top of the black currant. it may sound weird but o.m.g. it tasted good! i already ate about a quarter of the toasted slice of bread with preserves by then. i thought of slathering the jam on top of the cheese on the other slice but thought better of it. instead, i just put the half eaten slice on top of the newly toasted slice and enjoyed a wonderful sandwich for dinner. :P

yum~! i can't wait for the next time i decide that i don't like the food at home so i have an excuse to make a DIY dinner of black currant preserves and cheese on toast!

i am so hating firefox 3.0.11 right now! i seriously wish that i didn't update it anymore, i mean, after all, i barely see any improvements with every firefox update. but then again, i thought, i rather have it updated in case there are some security measures that have been added or improved. either way, i did and now my CPU and memory is dying! yes, the new firefox 3.0.11 is killing my CPU, sometimes consuming 100% of BOTH my processor's cores and takes up about 65,000 K of my memory. that's about 65 MB or 6.5 GB! my ghad! and i'm only running on 1GB of RAM!

i was thinking of upgrading my RAM to 2GB and finally defragmenting it but after the scare i had the last year, i'm a bit wary. yeah, remember, my computer was under repair for more than a month(!) because for some reason, my free space kept on getting larger and larger by 1gb for every hour. this was the day after i just defragmented it so i dunno if it's supposed to be a gradual process, or instant free-space. either way, nearly 6 hours after defragmentation, i still kept on gaining free space. from 114 GB, my free space shot up to 121GB so i panicked espeically since in safe mode, i only have 119 GB of free space available. in the end, i had the HD replaced. go figure.

ugh... i hope i can finally resolve this problem with firefox. worse comes to worst, i will be switching browsers, maybe to google chrome. but i'm not sure yet since i've been hearing reviews that it also consumes 100% of one's CPU. haaaay....

it sucks getting sick. i hate the awful feeling, being confined in bed, the medicines i have to take, the dizziness that follows when i try to read something on the computer and not being able to go out at all. and to think, i don't have a full-blown fever... yet. it's just been  a runny nose, fatigue in the morning and evening, headaches sometimes and the slight fever now and then. the only bright side is that classes have been suspended so i am free to rest instead of trying to force myself through my classes last tuesday and wednesday. also, the sickness brought my weight down again. when i checked the scale a while ago, i was down to 125lb. and this was after having a larger-than-usual lunch with rice! i can only imagine how much i really weigh when i check tomorrow morning when i wake up. my mom already started harping on me to eat more especially now that i've thinned down and since i'm on medications.

hopefully, i'm on the road to permanent recovery since yesterday when we went to the doctor's to check if i had the A (H1N1) virus (my mom got paranoid because of the reported cases in DLSU and since i had some symptoms for the flu), i felt better. i actually went to sleep last night thinking i could go out today. but when i woke up, i felt awful. it turns out, i had a slight fever... again... *sigh*

again, i'm feeling better now with only a slight headache... i only hope this will not be another false alarm...

hahaha i forgot i had a pending meme from [info]posthuman

it's about 10 or so days late but as they say, better late then never, right?

Comment and let me know if you want a letter. Then you have to list ten things you LOVE that begin with that letter. Afterward, post this in your journal and give out some letters of your own. :P

after growing my hair to the longest it's even been since the summer of '07, i've again cut it short. i once again had it styled to the jaw-length bob that i favored in my senior year but this time, the front ends are long. simply put, i finally had it done in the asymmetrical bob that i so wanted to wear for the longest time. i'll try to post pictures but so far, i'll leave it up to your brains to imagine it. hopefully, it doesn't get fried what with finals (for DLSU) and academics and all.

haircut aside, sid posted this in his multiply and i happened to read it when multiply sent me a copy via email. the only thing i have to say is: =)).

i hope i get to get ms. mejia to read this. lol
